The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to set out how we will use personal information that we may collect. By using our website, "" (the “Site”), and/or by registering as a user of any services provided by the Site, you agree to our General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Rue Gembon does not own or control, or to people that Rue Gembon does not employ or manage.
This Privacy Policy is intended to meet requirements globally, including those in North America, Europe, APAC, and other jurisdictions. This Privacy Policy was reviewed and updated in May 2018 to take into account new data protection laws coming into force across the European Union, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (also known as the GDPR).
Information We Collect
We collect information from you when you register or use the Site. When ordering or registering on the Site, we ask for personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, birthdate, gender, occupation, industry, personal interests and/or credit card information. We also ask for non-personally identifiable information helps us to improve the Site and the products, services, applications, content and features that we provide through the Site.

Please note that if you place an order on the Site, we will send you an email to acknowledge your order and to provide any updates on the status of your order. After your order is processed and/or delivered, we no longer keep your credit card details. We use the third party service provider (i.e. Paypal) to process payments.

Once you create an account or register with Rue Gembon, you are automatically included in our updates, newsletters and/or correspondences. In each case you will be able to unsubscribe from marketing communications and we will give you this opportunity every time we send you a marketing communication. For example, if you wish to unsubscribe from our emails you can do so at any time, by clicking “unsubscribe” within our newsletters/ emails. We also implement safeguards to ensure customers who have opted out of receiving such communications don't receive them.
We will never share your personal information for marketing without your express consent.

Personal Details
We use your contact details and payment information, including, but not limited to your name, postal address, email address, phone number, date of birth and any other information collected on registration or on ordering.

  • Send you an electronic version of your receipt as an email
  • Send you marketing communications where you have been given the opportunity to say no

  • You have ticked an opt-in box or taken a similar positive action (for example ticking a box on registering an account) to say you want to hear from us.
Rue Gembon takes your security seriously and takes reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no data transmission over the Internet or information stored technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for posting any information that you disclose and disseminate on the Site.

We limit access to information about you to employees and/or our authorized vendors on a “need to know” basis (i.e. disclosure of information only to those who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to perform their employment duties).

We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with our legal obligations to protect information about you. We use a secured server together with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to help protect the information you send to us. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browsers window during SSL transactions that involve credit cards and other forms of payment. When we ask you for a credit card number on the Site for payment or for verification purposes, it will be SSL encrypted. The information you provided will be stored securely on our database which can only be accessed by those authorized third party service providers who possess special access rights to our systems. Please note that after a transaction, your credit card information will not be stored on our servers.
